#ShelbyvilleCentralHighSchool Health Science students, under the instruction of Becky Davis, wrapped up their final unit on vision yesterday with an exciting and interactive lab experience. #Students completed a cow eye dissection along with a 5-station vision lab to explore how the human eye works and how vision is assessed in healthcare settings.

👀 Snellen Eye Chart – Visual Acuity Testing
🎨 Ishihara Plates – Color Blindness Screening
🌀 Hubbard Disk – Peripheral Vision & Glaucoma Testing

In support of our district teams participating in the state tournament, we will have adjusted schedules this week. Please see the schedule below:
• Monday – Normal School Day
• Tuesday – Half Day Dismissal
• Wednesday – Half Day Dismissal
• Thursday – To Be Determined (If teams continue advancing, we may have a half day dismissal.)
• Friday – Two-Hour Day / Report Card Pick-Up
Half day dismissal will begin at 11:30 and buses will run according to the adjusted schedules. See less

Students in the TAP 1 (Teaching As A Profession) program at #ShelbyvilleCentralHighSchool recently visited University of Tennessee Southern for a campus tour and the opportunity to meet with representatives from the College of Education. #TAP instructor Mrs. Melody Redd, a UT Southern alumna, enjoyed sharing the experience with #students and capturing a photo together on campus. 🎓🧡
In addition to exploring future educational opportunities, TAP 1 and Intro to TAP students have been serving the community by assisting #SouthsideElementarySchool staff and students during field day activities and carnival day. 🎪⭐
The TAP program continues to thrive thanks to the support of schools across the district that provide valuable work-based learning opportunities for students, helping inspire and prepare the next generation of educators. 📚❤️
