About Me

I was born and raised here in Bedford County. This will be my 6th year teaching 8th grade science but my 4th year at Cascade Middle. I love being a Cascade Champion! My wife Haylie and I will be celebrating our 3rd anniversary this November, and she is also a teacher. We welcomed our beautiful baby girl Wren Claire Dial into the world on April 8th, 2023. I enjoy working out, cooking, and playing video games. Some of my favorite things include the Tennessee Vols, the Atlanta Braves and Star Wars. Fun Fact: My dog, Neyland, is the brother of UT's live mascot, Smokey.

Education: I graduated from Shelbyville Central High School in 2009. After high school, I attended Volunteer State Community College in Gallatin, TN where I also played baseball. Next, I continued my education and baseball career at St. Catharine College (now Midway University) in Springfield, KY where I earned a bachelor's degree in natural sciences. Finally, I came back home and earned my master's degree from Middle Tennessee State University in exercise physiology. After a career change, I returned back to MTSU to earn my teaching license in 6-12 secondary science.
