About Me
I was born and raised here in Bedford County. This will be my third year teaching 8th grade science but my first at Cascade Middle. I am so excited to be a Cascade Champion! I am getting married to my fiancé, Haylie, this fall. I enjoy working out, cooking, and playing video games. Some of my favorite things include the Tennessee Vols, the Atlanta Braves and Star Wars. Fun Fact: My dog, Neyland, is Smokey's brother.
Education: I graduated from Shelbyville Central High School in 2009. After high school, I attended Volunteer State Community College in Gallatin, TN where I also played baseball. Next, I continued my education and baseball career at St. Catharine College in Springfield, KY where I earned a bachelor's degree in natural sciences. Finally, I came back home and earned my master's degree from Middle Tennessee State University in exercise physiology. After a career change, I returned back to MTSU to earn my teaching license in 6-12 secondary science.
