What is needed to suceed!

Expectations:
  • Show up every day with a "willing to try" attitude.
  • Show up every day prepared to work hard.
  • Show up every day with all materials needed for class. (You need everything every day!)
  • Check Calendar page DAILY for assignments, what's happening in class/school, and to check due dates.
  • Always be respectful of adults, peers, and YOURSELF!

Procedures:
  • Enter and exit the classroom quietly. (There is a difference between quiet and silent. Silent = ZERO noise. Quiet = soft/low noise.)
  • Go directly to your seat to drop off your personal materials and read the board for warm-up work and announcements for the day.
  • AFTER dropping off your personal materials follow ALL directions on the board for the day.
  • All work is to be turned into the appropriate class tray on or before the due date. NO WORK IS TO BE HANDED TO ME. My desk is the Bermuda Triangle and I will not accept anything that is to be graded by hand. I have a system so your work is not lost and you get the grade you earned the first time.
  • Pencils may be sharpened before class, or after instruction. No pencils are to be sharpened once I have begun teaching.
  • Color pencils MAY NOT be sharpened in the automatic pencil sharpener. You MUST use a manual sharpener for color pencils.

Policies:
  • Students will not disrespect our classroom time, school materials, school equipment, adults, peers, or their selves at any point of any day, in any part of the school or grounds!
  • Due dates are the due dates. NO EXCUSES! If students need help, they MUST ask me and I will help!!!
  • There are reasons and there are excuses. You may not use your reason as an excuse! You are not free from the consequences of your actions, good or bad.
  • SHOW RESPECT AND YOU WILL GET RESPECT!
  • The only person allowed to "waste time," or "get us off task," is me. If you respect our class time, then you will reap the benefits of my meticulous planning. I promise!!!

This is not an all inclusive list, and it will be added to. I am not hard to get along with. As a matter of fact, if you ask former students they will tell you that I am extremely fair and try to be a lot of fun. Do what is expected and we will have a LOT of fun in my class.
