TCAP testing is upon us! We start next Friday, April 17th.
Students and parents may request optional additional time. Students will be asked if they would like additional time during the testing closure each day. Students can raise their hands if they need the optional extended time offered by the State of TN to finish.
Parents are also able to request the optional additional time on behalf of their student. Please email Amber Richard (Building Test Coordinator) at richarda@bedfordk12tn.net if you would like to request additional time for your student.
If your child already has a 504 or IEP with extended time, they will receive the time listed in their Plan, but they can still request the additional optional time offered to all students by the State of TN.
"According to Public Chapter 978 passed by the Tennessee 112th General Assembly, if requested by a parent or student, a test administrator (TA) may allow a student an additional optional time period (calculated above), to ensure students are able to finish the assessments completely."
