Good afternoon! This is Rebecca Tidwell, principal of Cascade Middle School.
We're calling to share an important update regarding state documentation requirements for the 2026–2027 school year.
All students must have a current proof of residence dated July 1, 2026, or later on file. For a list of acceptable proof of residence documents and additional enrollment information, please visit the Bedford County Schools website, click Schools, then How to Enroll.
To help families complete these requirements, the Cascade Middle office will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on July 27th, 28th, and 29th. Documents may also be submitted on July 30th during Open House from 3:30-5:30 p.m.
Please submit all required documentation no later than August 7th. Students who do not have the required documents on file by that date will not be able to remain at school and will need to be picked up. Any missed time will be considered an unexcused absence until the required documentation has been received.
Proof of residence may be emailed to Mrs. Brandi Giel at gielb@bedfordk12tn.net.
Additionally, all incoming 7th grade students need to bring an updated immunization certificate to the school.

Today, our principals, assistant principals and supervisors came together to prepare for the 2026–2027 school year by completing Youth Mental Health First Aid training.
Led in person by three trainers from the Tennessee Department of Education, participants completed the course, passed the certification exam and are now officially Youth Mental Health First Aid certified! 💚
This nationally recognized training equips our leaders with the skills to recognize, understand and respond to signs of mental health challenges in young people, helping create safe, supportive and caring school communities.
We're proud of our leaders for investing in professional growth and #student well-being as we prepare for an outstanding 2026–2027 school year! 💡📚
