📚✨ Bringing Classic Literature to Life at Cascade Middle School!
Seventh-grade ELA Teacher Marissa Carlson is showing students that great literature is more than words on a page! With passion and enthusiasm, Ms. Carlson guides students through Geoffrey Chaucer’s classic The Canterbury Tales while helping them discover the power of storytelling.
Students are learning how to write about their reading through an “exploded moment” in the text, how to tell a story well, and how the ideas and lessons in literature connect to life today. Most importantly, they’re developing a deeper appreciation for reading and discovering the joy of getting lost in a great story. ❤️📖
This is what makes public schools so special: passionate educators who inspire curiosity, make learning meaningful and open doors to new worlds for every student. From classic literature to the lessons that shape their futures, our public schools are places where students discover their potential and develop a lifelong love of learning.
We love seeing teachers like Ms. Carlson make a difference every day! 🍎
